99% of the time, MyConferenceTime recommends that schedules do not have overlapping/duplicate time slots. If your schedule is going to have two or more openings for a time slot, we recommend changing the number of openings for that time slot. You can change the number of openings on one schedule or on all schedules.

There may be circumstances, however, that require overlapping/duplicate time slots. (By duplicate time slots, we mean the same schedule having a time slot for January 23, 3:00-3:20 and a second time slot for January 23, 3:00-3:20.)

Warning: this procedure is very difficult to "undo." Please proceed with caution. If you make a mistake, you might have to delete individual time slots from each schedule.

  1. We are assuming you already have one set of time slots on your schedule for your desired date. In our example, we have time slots on our schedule for January 23 and January 24. We will create duplicate time slots for January 23.
  2. Add time slots for a date that is not part of your scheduled conferences. This is important: This date must be a date that is not on any conference schedules. Use the directions to add time slots to one schedule or add time slots to multiple schedules. In our example, we are adding "wrong" time slots for January 28, 2023 because we know that there are no schedules for our school with January 28 time slots. The times are identical to January 23, the "correct" date for which we want to create duplicate conferences.
  3. After adding the time slots to the schedule, they will appear on the schedule(s) for the "wrong" date:
  4. Next, we need to change the "wrong" date (January 28) to the "correct" date (January 23). To do this, go to Summaries > Date Summary.
  5. Check the box for the "wrong" date (January 28 in our example).
  6. Using the "with selected" dropdown menu at the top of the screen, choose "change date - must change 1 at a time."
  7. Change from the "wrong" date (January 28 in our example) to the "correct" date (January 23 in our example), then press the "Save Changes" button.
  8. Your "wrong" date has now been changed to the "correct" date. You can go to your schedule(s) to see the duplicate dates. The website will warn you that you have overlapping conferences. Please ignore the warnings; there is not a way to turn off the warnings.

When parents view the schedule, they will not see the warnings:
