99% of the time, MyConferenceTime recommends that schedules do not have overlapping/duplicate time slots. If your schedule is going to have two or more openings for a time slot, we recommend changing the number of openings for that time slot. You can change the number of openings on one schedule or on all schedules.
There may be circumstances, however, that require overlapping/duplicate time slots. (By duplicate time slots, we mean the same schedule having a time slot for March 10, 12:30-12:45 and a second time slot for March 10, 12:30-12:45.)
Warning: this procedure is very difficult to "undo." Please proceed with caution. If you make a mistake, you might have to delete individual time slots from each schedule.
These directions are for a teacher to add duplicate time slots to their own schedule. Admins have their own directions.
We are assuming you already have at least one day with time slots on your schedule. In this example, we will be creating duplicate time slots for March 10.
To create duplicate time slots for the time slots posted for March 10, click on Duplicate Day:
On the screen to choose a new date, choose a different date, one that is not on the schedule and one that is not the original date. In this example, because our goal is to duplicate March 10, we pick a date other than March 10:
Then press the button to save changes.
After pressing save changes, we have two dates (March 10 - a date we want; and March 11 - a date we do not want) on the schedule...
Click on Edit Date on the new, "unwanted" date of conferences. In this example, we click Edit Date for March 11.
On the screen to change the date, choose the original date that we want to have duplicate time slots. In our example, we choose March 10 because we want to have duplicate time slots on March 10.
Press the button to Save Changes.
The schedule now has a date (March 10) with duplicate time slots:
The website will warn you that you have overlapping conferences. Please ignore the warnings; there is not a way to turn off the warnings.
When parents view the schedule, they will not see the warnings:
