To send a staff member a link so that they can reset their password (or for staff to log in if they already know their password), please do the following:
  1. Log in as the admin
  2. In the "Summaries" menu at the top of the screen, select "staff summary"
  3. Select the check box next to the staff member's name. You can select one staff member or multiple staff members.
  4. Using the drop-down menu that says "with selected" above the list of names, select "send password reset link."


If staff members know their password, this is still useful because the email that staff members receive contains a link to log in. A staff member who knows his/her password does not have to reset his/her password, he/she can simply click on the log in link that is in the email. Sending the reset link will NOT reset the password unless the staff member chooses to reset his/her password.



As of May, 2016, this method replaces the former option of emailing an actual password to a staff member. Due to enhanced security of our site, passwords that are saved in the system are no longer available to be emailed. Passwords that are saved in the system are encrypted and unable to be retrieved. When a user forgets his/her password, the only option is to reset the password or for an admin to create a new password for the user.
